Refunds and returns
Last updated: 1 October 2026
In short: every book is personalised and made to order, so we don't offer refunds, returns or cancellations. The only exception is a book that arrives damaged, misprinted or doesn't arrive at all. If that happens, report it within 14 days of delivery and we'll send a replacement.
No refunds, returns or cancellations
Each book is made to your instructions and can't be resold. Once your order is placed, it can't be cancelled, and we don't accept returns or give refunds for a change of mind. For customers in the UK, the 14-day right to cancel online purchases doesn't apply to goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised.
What we will replace
We'll send a free replacement if your book:
- arrives damaged in transit;
- has a printing or binding defect, for example missing, duplicated or misprinted pages;
- is lost in transit and the carrier's tracking confirms it wasn't delivered.
The remedy is a replacement copy of the same book. If we can't produce a replacement, we'll refund the price you paid instead.
How to report a problem
Email sketchmytravelsco@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery. For a lost parcel, email within 14 days of the latest estimated delivery date. Please include:
- your order number;
- clear photos of the problem, and of the packaging and shipping label if the book was damaged in transit.
We can't accept reports made after 14 days. Please keep the book and its packaging until your claim is resolved, as we may ask you to send them back.
What isn't covered
- Spelling mistakes or wrong names, dates, titles, wording or details that were entered when the order was placed. We don't send proofs, and we print exactly what you give us.
- Photos that were low resolution, blurry or poorly lit when you sent them.
- Our choice of which photos to illustrate, and the way they're illustrated. Our colored-pencil-style artwork is an artistic interpretation of your photos, so differences from the originals are expected.
- Slight differences in colour between your screen and the printed book.
- Delivery delays, or a parcel that can't be delivered because the address you gave was wrong or incomplete.
- Import duties or local taxes charged by your country.
Your legal rights
