Terms of sale
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms apply when you order a book from Sketch My Travels at sketchmytravels.com. Please read them before you order. If anything is unclear, email us at sketchmytravelsco@gmail.com.
1. Who we are
Sketch My Travels is a trading name of Wanderfly Creative Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16803760. Our registered office is 10-16 Tiller Road, London E14 8PX, United Kingdom. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Wanderfly Creative Ltd, and "you" means the person placing the order.
2. What we make
We make personalised A5 photo books of 24 pages. Each book combines the photos you send us with colored-pencil-style artwork created from selected photos, and a page design built around the trip details you give us. We choose which photos to illustrate, based on what works best in our style. You can choose a softcover or hardcover.
Every book is made to order and designed for you, so no two are the same. The sample books on our website show our style. Your book will follow that style, but its layout, illustrations and wording will be based on your own photos and answers. Printed colours can look slightly different from how they appear on a screen.
Our illustrations are an artistic interpretation of your photos, so slight differences from the original images are to be expected.
3. Placing an order
You order by answering the questions in our book builder, adding your photos and paying through our payment provider. Your contract with us starts when your payment is accepted and we send you an order confirmation by email.
We may decline an order, for example if the photos or text break section 5 below, or if we can't produce the book to our usual quality from the photos provided. If we decline an order after you've paid, we'll refund you in full.
4. Checking your order: no proofs
We don't send a proof before printing. We print names, titles, dates and messages exactly as you give them to us, so please check spelling and details carefully on the summary screen before you pay. We can't accept responsibility for mistakes in the information you provide, and a book printed with a mistake you supplied is not a faulty book.
Once your order is placed, we can't guarantee that changes can be made. If you notice a mistake, email us straight away with your order number and we'll let you know whether it can still be corrected.
5. Your photos and text
You keep ownership of your photos and words. By sending them to us, you give us permission to use them to design, illustrate, print and deliver your book, and to keep them for the period set out in our Privacy Policy. We won't use your photos, your illustrations or your story in our marketing without asking you first.
By sending us content, you confirm that:
- you took the photos yourself, or you have permission to use them for this purpose;
- the people shown in the photos (or a parent or guardian, for children) are happy for them to be used in your book;
- the content isn't unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or defamatory, and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
We may refuse to work with content that we reasonably believe breaks these rules.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and include shipping to anywhere we deliver. Payment is taken when you order, through Revolut's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card details. Some countries charge import duties or local taxes on delivery. Where this happens, these charges are the responsibility of the person receiving the book.
7. Making and delivering your book
Your book ships within 5 to 7 days of your order. It is printed and shipped by our print partner, Prodigi, and delivery usually takes a further 5 to 7 days. Delivery times depend on the destination, so these are estimates rather than guaranteed dates.
Please make sure your delivery address is correct. If a book can't be delivered because the address you gave was wrong or incomplete, we may need to charge for a replacement.
8. Changing your mind
Because every book is personalised and made to your instructions, orders can't be cancelled once placed, and we don't offer refunds or returns for a change of mind. For UK customers, the 14-day right to cancel online purchases does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
9. If something is wrong with your book
If your book arrives damaged in transit, has a printing or binding defect, or is lost in transit, email us within 14 days of delivery (or, for a lost parcel, within 14 days of the latest estimated delivery date) with your order number and photos of the problem. We'll send a replacement copy of the same book. If we can't produce a replacement, we'll refund the price you paid. We can't accept reports made after 14 days.
Our Refund Policy sets out exactly what is and isn't covered. Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have by law that can't be excluded.
10. Our illustrations and designs
The illustrations, layouts and designs we create for your book are our work. You're welcome to keep, share and enjoy your book and photos of it for personal use, but you may not sell or commercially reproduce our illustrations or designs without our written permission.
11. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to meet these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure, up to the price you paid for the order. We aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption or extreme weather. If this happens, we'll let you know and do what we can to reduce the delay.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you still keep any protections that the law of your home country gives you and that can't be excluded. If you have a complaint, please email us first so we can try to put it right.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on our website when you placed it.
